What Is International Day of people with Disabilities

International Day of people with Disabilities

On December 3 this year, during the annual celebration of people with disabilities, the 2021 theme is “Fighting for rights in the post-COVID era.”
Since March 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic has affected everyone’s lives, particularly those with disabilities who are experiencing reduced access to routine health care and rehabilitation including the increased risk of poor outcomes from the disease itself.

Our mission
At Seating Matters we are celebrating this special day as our mission is to improve millions of lives a year and one of our crucial roles involves supporting those with disabilities.
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, our Seating Matters team continued to provide support both in person and virtually to those in need through Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Face Time etc. for seating assessments, online demos and chair reviews.
Additionally, our Seating Matter chairs are now being used in Covid Rehabilitation Centres all over the world.

Our chairs
Seating Matters exists to improve and enhance the quality of life of patients through clinical excellence. That is why our brand mantra is JUST ASK THE PATIENT.
Our specialised chairs are designed to cater to those with the following disabilities and conditions;

  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Spina bifida
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Huntingdon’s Disease
  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Osteoporosis

    And MANY MORE.

At Seating Matters, we care passionately about improving lives through innovative healthcare seating and every team member across our company is dedicated to that goal.

As part of this effort, we are helping those with disabilities and complex needs to overcome challenges, barriers and in turn provide opportunities that last a lifetime.
