Before using the Sorrento 2, this lady spent long hours in a wheelchair, often leaning to the left with her legs sweeping to the side. She experienced pelvic obliquity and rotation, increasing her discomfort and risk of pressure injuries.
With the Sorrento 2, her trunk lean was properly accommodated, and her pelvis was positioned neutrally for even weight distribution. Since she had limited hip flexion, the backrest was adjusted to the perfect angle to support her posture.
The chair's lateral cushioning and tilt-in-space feature provided essential support for her trunk and head, addressing her upper kyphosis.
